Friday Etsy Meanderings

I've gotten a burst of energy this morning.
Maybe because I'm headed to my family's for some R&R,
Maybe because my birthday is coming up and I've been applying for work, lately,
I feel a surge of new beginning,
but
whatever the reason, I thought
why not post this morning...
before yoga and pulling weeds.

                                                                          $250
This is an original oil by Jennifer Greenfield at AstralArts, titled 'Surrounded'.

Doesn't it just have
all the magic that your heart feels
when you watch a sunset ...or this morning... a sunrise?

I think that it's perfect.

                                                                $30.49USD
As I was cleaning out my email, I came across the Dutch Etsy newsletter, and instantly fell in love with
Sandra at SandraDieckmann has created this illustration for your enjoyment, on paper and tote bags, and
she has so many fanatastic creatures you're bound to find your totem spirit there,
or at the very least, an creature who's company you enjoy ;)

                                                                           $38
These spunky darlings at LizardsJewelry from Lovettsville,Virginia. Made of polymer clay and sterling silver. Wow. I don't know about you, but I am amazed of the ways people use polymer clay!
It just doesn't inspire me, but then I see things that other people make and I'm
BLOWN AWAY! Polymer Clay? Really?
WoW.

                                                                           $26
Stackable, stretch bracelets: LOVE THEM!!
You get this whole set, everything you see here: $26 Buckeroos!
Really.
I'm not even kidding.

Stunning, just stunning.
Well, I hope that you all have a wonderful time celebrating whatever you are
celebrating this fine summer weekend, hoist a toast to me, and my birth, would ya,
and
Dance, always make time to DANCE!

All the best!!
:D

Friday Etsy Meanderings

Good Morning!! Good Morning!!

I remembered!!
Yayyyyyaayyy!!!
I humbly apologize for last week's oversight and hope that you forgive me.
Which, of course, you do
...as you're all so very generous souls!
;)
I know you are.

So let's get started!
It's seems that I've fallen for the fall propaganda! Even though, I'm sooo not ready for it!!
I have a tendency for 'Fall Type' colors, anyway, so when I looked back over the items I had selected for today, I wasn't really shocked...
so much as disappointed in myself!
For I sit here in 76/24 degree weather, in my floral sundress, confident that summer is just on the upswing!!
And yet.... here are my fallish selections...

tsk...tsk..

Oh MY GOD.
It's a good day for treasuries on etsy today!
God. I could barely wade through them with my credit card still in my wallet!

But I held it together. Got a hold of myself.
and

and maybe buy for someone you love, maybe you!

Four Eco-Friendly Glass Tumblers - $36   bottlehood

But
I've been in love with those eco tumblers for a while now
They also fuse-cut (or however they cut them with a smooth even edge) embossed glass bottles
which
are
fantastic!

Love it.

Friday Etsy Meanderings

It's springtime.

Just in case you haven't noticed any changes in your neck of the woods yet!

Time for yardwork, dressing in layers and riding your bike.

so I decided to focus today's meander through the 'layering options' to be found on etsy.
I featured this really fun shop boygirlparty in a treasury that I made for teacher's day on Tuesday.
and when I looked on their shop today....
ooo
and I swear I didn't plan this
but
they have a fantastic hoodie
with two owls riding a BIKE!
oops! thanks to susie @ boygirlparty for letting me know it is a dog and a cat! yikes!
sorry for that :D

$30
love it!!

Not that I don't already own a LOT of grey ;)
what's one more?

There are so many great tops for layering your bod while the summer gods and winter gods fight it out.

your layering needs are more

what's on my mind

So I've been a little all over the map this morning and it's only 8:00am!!

One thing that's really on my mind is creating things. When I'm all over the map, I'm usually in the midst of creating a LOT of things! So creating is this morning's theme.

One thing in particular that just gets stuck in my craw is how really nice people look sad when they talk about creating things!

A lot of people attribute making things and crafting to talent. This big scary remote notion that has to do with something outside themselves that they cannot control. Are you one of those people? Do you feel left out of something potentially fun and fulfilling.

Well, if you ARE one of those people, listen to me very carefully.

Let that silly ole notion go!
It has nothing to do with you.

There are so many things happening out there that are fun and wonderful and feed your soul and have nothing to do with some intangible inborn notion like 'talent.' I say if you have fun, great ideas will pour from your finger tips and give your heart a happy dance! So why not, try?

:D

A wonderful art supply business based out of the Seattle area, Daniel Smith is having a sale to commemorate Van Gogh's birthday on the 30th of March! And really is there any more inspiring artist than Vincent Van Gogh!

You've seen this image a thousand, million cajillion times and it still inspires people to create all sorts of new things!

But have you seen THESE THINGS :D They're FANTASTIC!!

Van Gogh Pony - Handcrafted Gourd - $40 TheWillies.esty.com

Hand embroidered Starry Night Brooch - $140 waterrose.etsy.com

Hand painted Messenger Bag - 65 angiediazconcept.etsy.com

Hand Print Mold Wall Art (baby & child) - $95 audreylaynecombs.etsy.com

Starry Night Felt Merino Wool Cuffs - $20 - a pair elsjeboer.etsy.com

What can you create?

I bet you can think of wonderful things! Grab your morning beverage, your idea list and start flipping through the Daniel Smith online catalogue to see what would supply your creativity!

Have fun :D
